General Articles and StoriesSo my pen seems to be taking me in as many directions as my passport these days. These are just a few random articles that i put together without really knowing why. They just needed to be written. How could you do that to me, Mary? The first one is only the piece I've ever written about my hometown. When I first started writing I liked to just take an image and see what would happen if I followed wherever it led me. So this is a tribute to a single piece of graffiti that has survived for more than ten years now. The second story is about a man I met for only one evening. As a favour to a mutual friend he came to speak to me about what it is to be a clown. He made a deep impression upon me and a few weeks afterwards he was found dead sitting under a tree. Life and Times of the Mobile Phone The third article is a look at cell phones and how they have changed us. It's hard to remember how life was before they arrived but I don't recall life being so terrible...We owe it all to the blues. Rock, rap and funk all come from that African spirit imported to the USA
